Kindergarten Cop : Worlds Collide

A prelude to a location tour of sites from the movie Kindergarten Cop. Filmed in Astoria, Oregon. This video looks at how of my two childhood movies are connected, and what happens when worlds collide.

Real life filming locations from some of my favourite movies – including Amelie, The Goonies, Stand By Me, Rocky, The Exorcist, The Karate Kid, Groundhog Day, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and Back to the Future. Filmed in France, Germany and the United States of America. My favourite montage.

In ‘The Shawshank Redemption’ – Red (Morgan Freeman) fronted up to three different parole board meetings during his time at Shawshank Prison. In this video, I step in for the Parole Board Officer during Red’s final hearing to decide his fate. Filmed at the Ohio State Reformatory in Mansfield, Ohio.

Before ‘The Shawshank Redemption’ and Andy’s daring escape, there was a very real prison break which occurred at Alcatraz near San Francisco, California. This takes a look at the original escape and compares it to that of Andy’s in the movie. This is a the prelude to the Shawshank location tour.

A ‘Shawshank Redemption’ tribute set to the song ‘Undefeatable’ by Young Rising Sons. Consider this a prelude to the coming Shawshank Redemption filming locations tour.

Near the end of 1990’s ‘Ghost’ – Sam Wheat (Patrick Swayze) convinces Oda-Mae Brown (Whoopi Goldberg) to hand over a 4 million dollar cheque to nice old nuns. Oda Mae is very reluctant to do this. I return to Wall St in New York City, some years later, to investigate another ‘Ghost’ filming location.

In 1990’s ‘Ghost,’ the character of Sam Wheat (Patrick Swayze) is shot in a mugging as he walks home with his wife Molly (Demi Moore). I investigate the actual filming location in SoHo, New York City.

In 1990’s ‘Ghost’ – there was a scene where Oda-Mae Brown (Whoopi Goldberg) tried to convince Molly (Demi Moore) that her husband Sam (Patrick Swayze) was still ‘around.’ She tried to coax Molly down from her apartment in SoHo, New York City. I investigate this filming location years later.

An introduction to a filming location tour of 1990’s ‘Ghost.’ We begin at Wall Street in New York City – with a discussion about extras who don’t take their job seriously.
